Well, today was really fun! Another big (well, it wasn't casual, so it's classed as "big") frilly meet today. Not one to take many photos but tried to so I can reminisce about frilly meets at uni :'(. Failed miserably though.
But uh, I'll try to be creative and organise a meet for when I leave (and yes, I will lol so hard if I get accepted into Newcastle) or not. I'll just be a lazy fuck and sleep.


Urgh, saw him today whilst with some frilly friends. I hope so so much that he didn't see me cos I know he'll bring it up... Out of all the times I'm in town, why did I see him then .__.? Well, I'm not going to results day anyways so won't be seeing him again; not for a long time anyways.

So liek, media lecturer marked my coursework and got told today that I got an A! YES, I FUCKING DESERVE IT AS WELL CONSIDERING HOW MUCH RESEARCH AND TIME I PUT INTO IT.
Anyways, that cheered me up a bit today since I'm overwhelmed with revision. Nearly finished sociology write up and hoping I'll finish the module by the end of the week.
M1, le sigh. I do need to cram some stuff in. Did a bit of a paper today and just didn't get it. I'M DOOMED.

SERIOUSLY CANNOT WAIT TILL SUMMER, OMG. FUN AND FRILLY TIMES AHEAD.

How I'm feeling about maths right now.

Oh god. These exams have started to creep up on me. I have my first exams on the 18th - BOTH MY GOOD OL' PAL MATHS. no srsly, I am shitting myself for mechanics because I don't get it. It's just a mess at the moment. Lecturer is no use. I don't even know who to ask to help, everyone is stressing about their owjn stuff, it's not fair for me to dump another load on them... SCREW YOU PHYSICS.
But I'm so so glad that I have another month till my other two WHICH AREN'T MECHANICS FFFF YEAH. Still difficult nonetheless.

Yeah definitely not as impressive...

Absolutely knackered atm, had to wake up at 8am (look, it's early for me since it's a weekend) for work at 9am today. thankfully, I'm not in tomorrow so I can lie-in and do some needed revision.
Today was a bit weird as I haven't been in since the Sunday before last so felt a bit out of it. But I'm in on EASTER SUNDAY, WTF. Thought it was supposed to be a national holiday where no commercial store is open :(?

Need some of these in my life now

Probs gonna start watching Galileo tonight because I'm so so bored. Only thing that has prevented me from watching it since it came out is because Kou Shibasaki is in it :\.

And to the right is some eggless cookies I made last week. Pretty awesome without egg actually, quite like it. Shape is a bit weird since it's more viscous than normal cookie mixture (no egg). Made a second batch with green tea powder. It was nice, but put in too much and with every chew it got more bitter. Plain cookie doesn;t go well. But chocolate and green tea are definitely amazing.
Though was does scare me is that the cookie is essentially margarine... I don't tend to use butter so at least it isn't as bad as it's supposed to be.

Haha, Kame is about to be devoured by KimuTaku...

Was a bit bored so started watching Mr. Brain last night and just finished it. Mother was raving on about it last year when it aired so decided to go for it. I mean, I've grown up watching dramas with KimuTaku in it :o.
srsly the drama started pretty good. Was hooked up to about episode 7 and my interest began to go hmmmm~
I did enjoy it overall, especially the whole ~*all star cast*~. Kame and Takeru Sato :D /squeeee
No right, the cap above made me laugh so much. Kimutaku's hair is like a lion's mane there and Kame looks like a pathetic version of it (maybe a cat of some sort?) and is overwhelmed by Kimura's awesomeness, hahaha.
I don't have anything to watch now (total lie, I have a pile of films and a season of Buffy to watch. just cba atm) so feel a bit lost... I'll find something though (hopefully).

Another mutant potato has appeared (not as big as the previous one, but big and heavy nonetheless) and I have took a picture of it this time so will upload later.
I had a dream that I was preggers last night, which HORRIFIED me when I woke up. I physically felt heavier in the dream, that was weird. I never want children so I have no idea why I had that dream. tbh that isn;t the strangest dream I've had... I had one where I was in a (romantic and physical) relationship with Jin Akanishi which is WEIRDER since I don't like him (bloody diva). Yeah that was creepy...

some biscuits I bought today

Just sent off the ebay crap I sold. Made £65 (inc. postage cost which was £2.50 each. far too low as I used 1st class recorded, should've put it at £3) but spent a bit of it as I just went and used it on these two babies:

Headband is something I've been looking for since I've got so much black dresses and not enough accessories. Was so scared that it would turn out to be a bidding war but won it at 3400yen. Only one other person bidded on it and gave up after two bids.

Exams timetable came today and omg, I am screwed. I knew my first exams is on the 18th, but fuck, sociology resit is on the 20th. And guess what, SOMEONE HASN'T DONE ANY REVISION YET~!
MEGA SC-REWED.
So I am glad that Easter is next week otherwise I would have no idea how to cram any revision in.

Stuff has happened since last update:

• mother's day (went to restuarant the day after since I was working. Chopstick training failed me as jsut about every food item we ordered was slippery with oil :\)
• had my first alone-to-the-cinema trip and went to see Confessions . Good film, would recommend to see it in your local independent cinema or buy a copy of it (has English subs, obvs)
• Finished Norwegian Wood (first book in years) and went to see the film (it was crap, don't go and see it. even if it does have Kenichi Matsuyama in it...)
• Had the whole of last weekend free so went round bezzy-mate's house for a sleepover. Was supposed to be a film night but ended up only watching District 9 and two episodes of Misfits (finished both series last night, including the special.

Today I wasn't in college due to only having one lesson and that particular lecturer was striking so yeaaaah.
Went to Nudo with family and actually managed to down the whole bowl and have a bit of room for dessert (didn't have anything today so probs why). Green tea ice-cream is lush. Flavour isn't too strong (therefore not bitter) and the balance of creaminess is soooo good. Unfortunately, the red bean and taro were sold out so didn't get to try it :<
Afterwards, I went and bought sweets (probs gonna die from diabetes in the near future...) including the panda biscuits above. Have yet to open them, but not expecting much as I know they're using the cuteness to sell the product rather than the actual taste and substance of it.
THE GUY ON THE TILL WAS AMAZINGLY PRETTY. I know I don't usually delve on this topic mainly because it's not often I encounter these situations. Apparently he's half-Japanese according to my sister who knows of him. And no, I'm not going to stalk or try anything because I'm not that kind of person :)  /random

Just a quick one for today.

• Mutant potato no longer exists and didn;t take a photo in time. Mother made dinner with it... But its size is relative to a volvic 1L water bottle (no joke).
• Paid for me resits today ;___; Really only have about £15 left to my name.
• Thus I'm now selling shit on ebay. A ton of old clothes that I don't need.
• Just had a scone, but no cream in the house so it was crap.
• hating the Student Finance form with a passion, good thing I've already finished my part of the form, just waiting for parents to do their bit.
• Lost my last 嵐 bracelet somewhere in MY ROOM. The person who sells them don't do the same style anymore and the new edition looks a bit meh.
• Chopsticks training is going good but my hand is so bloody weak. Can't even hold them for 10 minutes ;___;

Problem?

So yeah, I'm left handed and left wing (coincidence? I think not.). But I'll leave the whole politics crap for another time... As my sociology lecturer said one lesson: If you're not a socialist when you're young then you've got no heart. If you're not conservative by the time you're old, then you've got no brain" - Somewhat true I guess... Just to make it clear, I'm a libertarian socialist.

Anyway, recently I've been trying to learn the proper way to hold chopsticks (yes, being azn and not knowing how to hold chopsticks properly + bonus of being lefty = BIG SHAME ON THE FAMILY, as witnessed when I went back to HK the first time round and met some family friends.). I'll (hopefully) be going to Japan for a year so it feels like I should learn properly after like 13+ years.
the actual form itself is really pretty :< mine is nearly like a whole fist clenching the chopsticks, still can move though.
'Cept I'm having a few problems. The ones I have at home are the corner-y ones and my hand keeps rotating the bottom stick which is fricking annoying me. I'm thinking it'll be easier for me to train with rounded ones (they look so expensive and elegant :o)
I'm getting the positioning of my fingers right, but hand is so weak and obvs not used to the actual way of holding it so gonna try a bit more till I can properly do it.
Thing is right, my parents never taught me (or siblings) how to hold them properly. I mean, I think my mum gave up on me after I turned out to be a lefty (apparently I was originally a right-y, then switched hands one days for some reason.). I'm gonna try and ask them both to help me on sunday so that I can get to my goal quicker.

ALSO, HAVE A GIGANTIC, SOMEWHAT MUTANT POTATO IN  THE HOUSE. POST IT UP TOMORROW/SOON.

Lunch+Dinner for today~

So I handed in my media coursework but didn;t sleep until 4:30am the night before it since I was busy writing the evaluation which was really good apparently :<...
Glad that's out of my life now, gawd. now I'm left with a pile of sociology essays to do, got through two of them but lecturer plopped a whole paper to do for the rest of the week since it's a bit whacky this week.
tomorrow not in due to it being a training day (srsly, in the middle of the week?! why didn't you gaiz have it on monday?) and thursday is a strike day for some lecturers so not in then either.
So much work to do even after all this coursework malarkey.

Anyways, the pic above is something I've been dying to make again since it was quite good last time I made it. It's basically udon in cream cheese and tomato base sauce. But the cream cheese is a crappy version (tesco) so it started to clump when I put it in the oven....
Got the idea from an episode of Shukudai-kun where one of the guests requested unique udon dishes and it was pizza style.
It wasn't too good this time round since the sauce turned out to be like that and the udon began breaking apart so they were really short, no fun :< It tastes like the lasagna we make at home, without the meat and pasta sheets, so no.
this blog is now slowly becoming a food blog...

The weather's been really good this week. Nice and warm Spring, almost summer, weather. Obvs not gonna last since it's Britain. But it was fun yesterday since we had lunch outside at college (outside of the main building is a circular area with benches and patches of grass :D) with the sun. Vitamin D goodness :o

Finished my production pieces now for media (after like a good 15 hours, not consecutively, but spread across last night and today x__x). Now for my evaluation (which is all due on Monday...) I cheated my way through two of them since I didn't have a "imaginative" tagline so screw you mark scheme.
I haaate evaluating my stuff. I am so critical of myself and I am cringing at the thought of analysing my own ads D:<  I also feel somewhat embarassed as my work is gonna be moderated by my lecturer and he always feedback the same thing with me so not looking forward to that...

Haven't gotten very far on my sociology essays since I've been concentrating on media. But I'm sure my sociology lecturer will understand since I always hand work in, 'cept for this module!

Thinking to plan a mini-meet during half-term to the American diner I always point out when walking down to Central. If not, NUDO TRIP :D.

Totes forgot that I was meant to go camping with college friends as well as Paris and now because I'm being the awkward one (yet again), it's gonna be one hell of a week for me right after exams...
Basically I'm going away on Monday afternoon to Keswick(?) with people and then return on Wednesday night. Then thursday afternoon I'm off to Paris till Monday(?).
srsly, I'm gonna have such an awesome time but'll be fricking exhausted by the end of it.

Also planning to find a second job during the summer since I'll (hopefully) be living in halls (if not, then definitely moving out) next year and I just want to be able to actually afford materialistic stuff instead of all my pay just going on necessities.

finished my media essay as well ('cept it's about 100 words shorter than the other and have no idea if I've left anything out...) - woot.

how I felt last night....

I WAS ON A ROLL LAST NIGHT. Finished my media essay, listed all references in my bibliography and everything and guess what? THE FRICKING MEMORY STICK DIED ON ME. What's worse is that I thought I had saved a completed copy on my hard drive - nope. FFFUUUUU
At least though, I have half of my draft printed out with lecturer's notes as to what needed to be changed and the analysis of the second ad is all in my notebook so it's sorted... It's just I spent all that time finishing it and then bloody technology decided to take the piss.

Anyway, tomorrow is handing in day for resit forms and I am doing three resits which will total my summer exams to SEVEN, WOOT. a resit costs me £22 y'know ;___; That's £66 (more than half of my basic contracted hours pay) coming off my paycheck this month ;___;
SUMMER IS GONNA BE SO MUCH FUN, GAIZ.

Random note. I was at the post office today to send a returns package and whilst queueing I saw the exchange rate for the Euro - 1.1119... BLOODY HELL IS WAS ONLY 1.15 NOT LONG AGO...

Man, yesterday was tiring...
I was at work yesterday till 4pm and then met up with frilly friends to talk about Paris. not much got discussed since nothing was actually researched until last night, where a shit storm came along...
Basically, there are two groups who want different things. One (the one I'm in, but tbh I don't care), is going for 5 days (since the convention we're going to is only two days) and staying over in a hotel.
Second group, probably staying about three days and staying in a hostel.
I have no qualms about staying in a hostel as long as its reputation is good, but some people in the group are just not having it... /sigh
And now, there's a rift between the group ;___;
Have the money, just not sure how pissed off organiser will be since I have to pay it all in installments :<

anyway, still haven't finished media coursework, got photos done but perfume name+bottle and last bit of essay has yet to be done AND IT'S DUE FOR NEXT MONDAY FFFFUUUU.
 On top of that, about five essays to do for sociology =___= and catch up with maths. fml

srsly, can this week get any worse? I found about it (on getoffegl actually, lawl) and I really didn't take it in until I was out with my mum in Esquires watching it on the screen (oh BBC 24, you and your repeating footage).
I know that chibitenshi (lj shopping service) resides in Sendai, just not sure if she's been affected...
And I guess now Sendai is ~famous~ to the world and people realise that there are places outside of Tokyo.

嵐 have been confirmed to be a-okay which is good  (yes, I thought about them before anyone else so deal with it). Obviously I hope anybody who has been affected turns out to be fine.

Lots of things have happened within the past few days... Let's start with the crappy stuff, eh?

I got rejected from Edinburgh two nights ago and ended up crying myself to sleep.
Somewhat glad I have Newcastle as a back otherrewise I only have UCLan and Oxford Brookes and I   REALLY don't want to go to OB from what other's have said...
But I'm definitely moving out, even if I'm living by myself (yusshhh). I asked some friends today if they wanted to move in and they said no .___. w/e
Well at least I definitely have a job and know the area well if I stay...
If I knew this was going to happen, I should'vw applied with partners since entry grades will be lower and I'll most likely get in.
 And here lies the second problem...

I got my results from January today and it's unlikely I'll get in...
I need an ABB. From the looks of things, it's more of a BBC/D.
I got a C in my sociology which I found out last night and was pretty pissed off and depressed about it. I tried so hard in that exam and I know for a fact some dick in the year who never turns up has a better grade than me... FML
My overall maths AS grade has gone up, so proud ;__; 'cept the fact that I failed my C3 module (so has most of my friends lawl) and so there it proves I have no hope of passing this A2 year...

Well the two pics above is my new shiny laptop bag from Cath Kidston (was on sale otherwise I would've never bought her stuff, cheapskate) It JUST fits my laptop. I can now bring it to college to use for work :D woot.
I bought a portable external hard drive as well (need to transfer stuff from comp to laptop, vice versa) so it means I have so much space now ;___; MORE SPACE FOR RAINBOW SPARKLY GHEY GAIZ.

My character on Kal also work again, haven't levelled much but omg...so happy. though I do need to get moving with my media coursework since the due date is on the 21st March... >___>

Got these (+group photos) today from a couple of friends of who mine were in GLORIOUS NIPPON for a few months. They went to see 嵐 during their stay .__.
BUUT, I would never want to go to their concerts since they have these "rules" fans must abide by. I don't see why I would have to when I'm already paying close to £70+ for a fucking ticket. DVD KTHX.

Just spent some moniez on 嵐  merch, but planning to use it to decorate my room when I get into uni (hopefully). So it's not like I'm just spending random money for the sake of it...
I WILL SUCCESSFULLY SAVE FOR PARIS!

Going out for a birthday outing of Saturday and not looking forward to it. Mainly because I don;t drink, like chart music and clubbing in general. tbh, the person who has organised it said he doesn't like it either, but his dad (fff parents) is the one forcing him to do this. I've been out several times and I've done about nothing every single time. GAH
Also need to find something to wear for this as I don't really want to ruin any other clothes I have, ffs. But it's been a while since I've went shopping so somewhat looking forward to tomorrow :D

We have a lot in common, mate.

So got my laptop today! 'Cept I was so pissed off about it.
The DHL guy didn't even knock on the door and just plopped it to the next door neighbours and put "OH HAI, YOU WERE OUT", card that didn't even go through the letter box - it was stuck inside the bristles part.
srsly, my parents and I were all in at the time, there was no knock from the prick. I only knew that the laptop was there was because I heard what I thought it would be letters, but no, it was the damned piece of card and I even saw the dick drive away.
WELL I'M GLAD I NEVER USE DHL MUCH.

Other than that, today wasn't much as I skived college today. cba to wake up today so been watchin Buffy. OMGGGG ONTO SEASON THREE NAO. OMG OMG OMG.
I did watch the later series but omg, why didn't I watch this series sooner? 'TIS AWESOME.

Will be getting my laptop within the next week (soooo excited), nothing amazing since I'm not planning to do anything intense like gaming on it soooo all is good to me. tbh, as long as it's faster than my computer, then I'm happy.
So will be updating this more frequently.
Probably gonna leave my LJ to die now since I don't go on LJ at all anymore (not even to check arama :<) and I've banned myself for a good month now from the comm_sales so realised I can actually save up if I try! Though I just made a wtb post, ahaa.

Need to start saving since this Summer = PARIIII with people (hopefully). Already planning what to take with me: Magical Etoile skirt, maybe Milky Berry JSK (depending how hot it'll be since it's black. y u so cruel ;___;)...

Results for January exams will be out in a few weeks, CANNOT WAIT MAN. I'm definitely resitting two exams, so that's £44 out the window :\
Also worried about my sociology exam now that I think about it...

Went for my annual blood test yesterday and got told by the doctor that I'm an overweight azn.
I was a bit offended when I heard that but looking back at it now, I'm just lol-ing about it tbh. I've lost 2kg since the Summer. Measured myself the other and I've lost 1.5inches off my bust measurement and an inch off my waist sooo yeah (didn't realise until I was wearing a blouse, that's made to my previous exact measurements, was a bit loose)

It's been a while. I've had the worst moodswings ever during the past few months, but I think I've found the source - chocolate. I only realised this a few days ago, so no more chocolate :)!

Had my first resit exam and I think I did quite well so a definite grade up on that. I've got my second resit on Friday and haven't revised too much for it so I'm mega screwed. Though I did two past papers earlier on and I'm slowly remember stuff. Grade boundaries aren't too high for this exam (about 56+/75 for an A) so hoping I'll do somewhat better this time round.

I got my UCAS from all sent off now! But I had to bug my tutor until that happened as she lied when she said "it'll be off before Christmas", no it fucking didn't. I checked on Christmas Day (yes, I did) and it was "still pending". 
Anyways, I got a email from Edinburgh saying they've received it, but made me sign up their system of UCAS or something? I don't really see the point, but ok.
